Overview of Funding
The District Heights Family & Youth Services Center is pleased to work in accordance with a diverse group of funders. With there support, we will continue to ensure effective, community-based programs for our citizens and the communities in which they reside.
Youth Service Bureau's are a state and local partnership, with funding provided by the City of District Heights and the State of Maryland's Governor's Office of Children. The state funding is facilitated and monitored by the Prince George's County Department of Family Services, Administration for Children, Youth and Families, also known as the Local Management Board (LMB).
The Strengthening Families program is jointly funded by County Executive Jack Johnson's Livable Communities Initiative and Councilman Samuel Dean's discretionary funds, while the Visionary Youth project is funded by Prince George's County Housing and Community Development Department through the Community Development Block Grant program.
The State of Maryland's Department of Juvenile Services provided one-half of the funding for our trailer procurement project, in partnership with the City of District Heights.

CAFY exists to act as a “ConstantLink” to victims of crime, including services such as the Court Education Programs, Teens against Assault, Violence & Abuse (TAVA) and the Family Dialogue Sessions. CAFY is the only agency in the state of Maryland to offer Court Education to help prepare victims to be “effective” witnesses in a court of law; it is also one of 32 agencies across the nation selected to develop and implement a statewide teen focused, teen facilitated victimization and awareness campaign.
