Yard Waste Collection Schedule

District Heights Public Works collects yard waste citywide every Monday. Please have your yard waste bags set out no later than 8:30 AM to ensure your waste is collected.

How to Prepare Yard Waste

  1. Place yard waste in biodegradable brown paper bags or bundle it with biodegradable twine in easy-to-handle bundles.
    1. Bundles may be no longer than 5 feet in length.
    2. Bundles may not weigh more than 30 pounds each.
    3. Bundles may not exceed 6 inches in diameter.
  2. Once prepared, yard waste must be placed at the curb on scheduled pick-up day, before 8:30 AM.
  3. An unlimited number of bags or bundles may be placed at the curb.
