Scheduled Spray Night Notification

mosquito patrol

This is to notify you that your community/HOA's scheduled spray night is SUNDAY. Spray season begins on May 31st and is anticipated to end on September 27th.

We conduct all spraying after it gets dark. If you see a truck spraying in your community/HOA during the day, it is not the State of Maryland.

If your community/HOA will be sprayed, as a precaution, we advise residents to stay inside their homes and close their windows while the spray truck is in the vicinity. Bring in any pets and remain in the home for 20-30 minutes after the spray truck has passed. If there are people outside when the truck passes by, no spray will be released, and the truck will not make another pass down that street.

The spray schedule is on a 3-week rotation. Please reference the attached schedule. This should help you understand what I mean when I say a 3-week rotation. Spraying depends on the results of surveillance activity conducted in your community/HOA prior to your scheduled spray night. This means that your community/HOA may or may not be sprayed on your scheduled spray night, based on these results.

To determine if your community will be sprayed on its scheduled spray night, please email or call me the day of your scheduled spray night between 2-4 p.m., to find out if we are spraying your community that night. We do not know any further in advance if you will be sprayed on your scheduled spray night.

If your community is sprayed, it will be 3 more weeks until we spray you again unless West Nile virus is detected in your community/HOA, or nearby, and you fall within the spray radius. In that case, a press release will go out with pertinent information, and you will be notified by me about the unscheduled spray.

Please contact me if you have any questions.
