Mission

The mission of the Recreation/Culture Department is to provide comprehensive recreational programs that must meet the needs of a diverse and changing community.

We strive to achieve a vital and responsive role to enrich the quality of life for the citizens of District Heights by providing

  • Opportunities which reflect the recreation interests of all District Heights residents.
  • Recreation opportunities within the financial ability of all people.
  • Recreation programs for residents with varying degrees of skills and programs for progressive advancement.
  • Occasions for citizens to become involved in recreational planning and to assist in implementing programs.

  • NLC Service Line Warranty Program

    The City of District Heights is notifying residents of a program provided through the National Leauge of Cities (NLC) Service Line Warranty Program administered by Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA). This program offers a warranty to homeowners that covers repairs or replacements of the outside water line that runs from the point of utility responsibility to the home. Property owners are accountable for these repairs, not the utility.
